WprowadzenieObserwowany w ostatnich latach rozwój materiałów wykorzystywanych w przemyśle motoryzacyjnym oraz lotniczym, jak i dążenie do zwiększenia wydajności produkcji, przy jednoczesnym ograniczeniu liczby braków, wymagają stosowania narzędzi skrawających o wysokiej wytrzymało-ści, umożliwiających pracę przy wyższych niż dotychczas prędkościach skrawania. Materiały, z których wykonane są ostrza skrawające, często charakteryzują się dużą twardością, przez co stawiają jednocześnie duże wyzwania przed narzędziami i metodami obróbki, które pozwoliłyby precyzyjnie i wydajnie ukształtować ostrze skrawające. Nowe materiały konstrukcyjne typu DDCC (Diamond Dispersed Cemented Carbide) przeznaczone na ostrza skrawające, charakteryzujące się wysoką twardością i odpornością na zużycie ścierne, dużą wytrzymałością na pękanie wymagają, opracowania i optymalizacji technologii oraz narzędzi do obróbki tychże materiałów [1]. Narzędzia wykonane z kompozytu DDCC charakteryzują się wysoką twardością, oraz dużą odpornością na zużycie (nawet kilkunastokrotnie wyż-sza niż w przypadku standardowych węglików spiekanych) [2]. W artykule zaprezentowano hybrydową metodę obróbki elektrochemiczno-elektroerozyjnej zastosowaną do kształ-towania materiału kompozytowego -DDCC. Ostrza skrawające wykonane z kompozytu DDCC znajdują zastosowanie m.in. w przemyśle motoryzacyjnym do obróbki tłoków oraz elementów silników wykonanych ze stopów aluminium, umożliwiając obróbkę z wysokimi prędkościami skrawania.
Hybrydowa obróbka elektrochemiczno-eletroerozyjna wirującą elektrodąProces obróbki elektrochemiczno-elektroerozyjnej (ECDM) wykorzystuje zjawisko wyładowań elektrycznych w elektrolitach. Kombinacja dwóch rodzajów ubytkowej obróbki bezstykowej pozwala na uzyskanie dużych wydajności procesu, przy zachowaniu jednocześnie wysokiej dokładności oraz jakości powierzchni obrabianej [3][4][5]. Proces obróbki ECDM znajduje zastosowanie podczas drąże-nia głębokich otworów, obróbki wykańczającej form wtryskowych oraz podczas obróbki materiałów kompozytowych. Jedną z odmian procesu obróbki ECDM jest obróbka ECDM, wykorzystująca wirującą elektrodę, schematycznie przedstawiona na rysunku 1.
