Investigations on Millimeter Wave (mmW) Antenna for 5G Technology: Design Considerations and Applications

Abstract: The millimeter wave technology has made its way to the 5G technology as the system of 5G requires larger bandwidth, higher frequency and system capacity. In order to achieve these parameters, the millimeter wave antenna research becomes necessary. The current wireless technologies require huge bandwidth which makes the spectrum of millimeter wave a potential candidate. Microstrip antennas have always been in an increasing demand due to their exceptional performance in the applications of wireless communication… Show more

“…For instance, while Kaushal and Guan [44] developed a broadband millimeter wave array antenna, its specific issues and uses for 5G technology are still not fully explored. Singh et al [45] emphasizes the need for more study in this field, especially within the context of microstrip patch antennas and their potential to enhance mobile phone performance. Future research should address these gaps by examining the design considerations and uses of millimeter wave antennas, especially within the context of 5G technology.…”

“…Calibration of various systematic errors is crucial to a smart antenna's correct operation. Taking into account explosion accumulation in the quantity of advanced cell endorsers, specialist organizations are turning out to be progressively worried about the restricted limits of systems already into existence [12] [17]. The concern give rise to the dispersion of smart antennas systems all through significant metropolitan areas, cellular regions etc.…”
