Investigations of a spillway system equipped with a jet regulating gate

Abstract

The damping of flow energy in high-head spillways is associated with large capital expenditures for the installation of dampers in the lower pool or immediately behind the gate. Use of the effect of jet collision in one of the promising trends for reducing the cost and improving the reliability of spillways.
