Abstract:Hydrofoil shapes are used for the marine turbine blades to capture kinetic energy from water currents effectively. Predicting transitions is a critical concern when studying the hydrofoil boundary layer. This paper analyzed the transitional behavior of the boundary layer in the National Advisory Committee of Aeronautics (NACA) hydrofoil, NACA0009, with a blunt trailing edge using the Algebraic Local-Correlation-based Transition Modeling (Algebraic LCTM) model. First, through sensitivity analysis, the effects o… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
