“…The dipole polarization is closely related to the relaxation process of the corresponding groups within the molecular features, and highly polarized groups in the molecular chain of polyimide, which can dominate this dipole polarization process. Tables 3 and 4 show the typical molecular dipole moment and polarizability of the functional groups of the polyimide [25]. It can be seen that the groups C=O, C-O, and C-N have high polarizability and dipole moment, so electron density is concentrated around carbon, whereas oxygen and nitrogen are depleted in the condition of external field; these groups have strong polarization and corresponding relaxation phenomenon.…”

“…Many researchers have devoted to the investigation on high energy electron and proton irradiation on polymer materials. It is summarized that, the injected high energy particles can induced free radicals inside the materials [8][9][10]16) . Thus, the un-bonded electron in the free radical is considered to enhance the generation of the secondary electron and photoelectron.…”

“…Till now, the measuring development of secondary electron emission yield and photoelectron emission yield of surface materials has lasted for long period by many researchers [3][4][5][6][7] , whereas the high energy particles irradiation tests were also carried out [8][9][10] , especially the LDEF (Long Duration Exposure Facility) satellite which was lunched last centry 11) . However, the literature about electron emission yield of space-simulation degraded polyimide film induced by impinging electron and photon are not available.…”

“…The study showed that the compatibility of PA and PP was increased by the irradiation system which provided a new strategy for manufacture and structural properties control of high-performance PA66/PP blend alloy. With the continuous development of high-energy irradiation technology, [21][22][23][24][25][26] its advantages of high efficiency, cleanliness and easy control are widely favored. Electron beam irradiation and other energy irradiations are gradually used in industrial productions.…”
