Investigation on Indoor Air Quality of Public Sites in Tainan Area

Abstract: This study selected 21 representative public sites for the survey of indoor air quality in Tainan area, including hospital, school, fitness center, government office, library, theater, transport station, and supermarket. Indoor air quality was first assessed by direct detection apparatus, including CO2, CO, HCHO, TVOCs, bacteria, fungi, PM10, PM2.5, O3 and temperature. Based on the results of walk-through detection, the spatial distribution of indoor air contaminants was further measured in a 24 hour period by… Show more

“…IAQ hot-spot locations were screened at each public site through walk-through detection in the first stage, and the measurements of indoor air pollutants were continuously monitored for 24 hour or sampled for lab analysis according to Taiwan EPA standard methods [3]. The detailed procedures of IAQ investigation can be referred to Wang et al [4], and the employed measurement methods and utilized detection apparatus or instruments were summarized in Kung et al [5]. IAQ measurements include CO 2 , CO, HCHO, TVOCs, bacteria, fungi, PM 10 , PM 2.5 , O 3 and temperature, which were conducted during year 2010 and 2011.…”
