Abstract:Gitelman syndrome (GS) is a rare salt-losing tubulopathy caused by an inactivating mutation in the SLC12A3 gene, encoding the thiazide-sensitive sodium chloride cotransporter (NCC). Patients with GS frequently complain of vertigo, usually attributed to hypovolemia.
