Kata kunci : Ionosfer, Propagasi, Frekuensi, Komunikasi Radio HF AbstractIonosphere is a layer of the earth's atmosphere at an altitude of hundreds of kilometers above sea level. As the zircon is electromagnetic waves, the ionosphere is a plasma, ie a gas consisting of electrons and positive couples in a dynamic equilibrium. The height of the ionospheric layer affects the amount of frequency that can be reflected by the ionosphere layer. Calculation of two parameters of HF radio communications, ie the maximum frequency and the best time to communicate. By using the formulation of Multi Quasi Parabolic is calculated using the assumption of radius of the earth at the equator that is 6378.3888 kilometers, from the analysis it is found that the maximum frequency of HF radio depends on electron density and height (h) ionosphere layer and communication distance (d) For long distance radio communication required higher frequencies than close-range communication, for long distance communication required higher antenna pole, radio communication at night is more susceptible to disturbance by object around antenna so that needed antenna pole higher.
