Investigation of the spectral characteristics of Sm3+ ions in lead borosilicate glass for photonic applications

Abstract: Different concentrations of Sm2O3 doped lead borosilicate glasses were synthesized by using the method melt quenching and their characteristics were analyze using X‐ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), absorption, emission, and decay curves.
