The article discusses issues of improving the accuracy of operational quality control of iron ore in mountain ranges. There was proposed the use of the absorbed gamma radiation indicator as an improvement of the nuclear physics method for determining the iron content in ore mass are proposed. There were obtained the relationships of the sensitivity of the absorbed gamma radiation intensity on the distance between the detector and the irradiated surface, as well as on the distance between the source and the detector of gamma radiation.

Викладено результати математичного моделювання iнтенсивностi поглиненого гамма-випромiнювання для визначення вмiсту залiза в ЗРС. Показано, що для пiдвищення точностi оперативного контролю вмiсту залiза в ЗРС доцiльно використовувати поглинене гамма-випромiнювання. Такий пiдхiд є удосконаленням ядерно-фiзичного методу визначення вмiсту залiза в ЗРС. При iснуючих ядерно-фiзичних методах визначення вмiсту залiза в ЗРС використовується вiдбите гамма-випромiнювання. У дослiджуваному методi застосовується гамма-гамма метод, особливiстю якого є використання «м'якого» гамма-випромiнювання. Це призводить до того, що вiд опромiнюваної поверхнi вiдбивається тiльки незначна частина початкового потоку гамма-випромiнювання. В результатi вимiрювання iнтенсивностi розсiяного гамма-випромiнювання характеризується значними вiдносними помилками i, як наслiдок, низькою точнiстю оперативного контролю вмiсту залiза в ЗРС. Використання поглиненого гамма-випромiнювання, як основної частини потоку гамма-випромiнювання, дозволяє значно зменшити вiдносну помилку вимiрювання iнтенсивностi гамма-випромiнювання, тобто пiдвищити точнiсть оперативного контролю вмiсту залiза в ЗРС. В роботi розглянуто, як найбiльш поширений, метод «центральної геометрiї» вимiрювання iнтенсивностi гамма-випромiнювання. Цей метод дозволяє в математичнiй моделi враховувати залежнiсть iнтенсивностi поглиненого гамма-випромiнювання не тiльки вiд властивостей опромiнюваної поверхнi гiрської маси, а й вiд геометричних параметрiв при реалiзацiї вимiрювань. Основною особливiстю моделi є використання параметра альбедо, який дозволяє зв'язати розсiяне i поглинене гамма-випромiнювання. Подання синтезованої моделi в безрозмiрному виглядi дало можливiсть як спростити розрахунки, так i узагальнити результати математичного моделювання iнтенсивностi поглиненого гамма-випромiнювання. З метою порiвняння величин iнтенсивностей вiдбитого i поглиненого гамма-випромiнювань в умовах центральної геометрiї були проведенi вiдповiднi чисельнi розрахунки. Результати проведених розрахункiв пiдтвердили ефективнiсть використання поглиненого гамма-випромiнювання для визначення вмiсту залiза в ЗРС. Так, в дiапазонi 50-60 вiдсоткiв вмiсту залiза чутливiсть поглиненого гамма-випромiнювання значно вище (в 2 рази), нiж чутливiсть розсiяного гамма-випромiнюванняКлючовi слова: оперативний контроль, поглиненi, розсiянi гамма-кванти, ядерно-фiзичний метод, детектор, альбедо
