Investigation of the behavior of reflected particles under conditions of heterogeneous flow past a blunt body: Experiment and calculation

Abstract: The behavior of solid particles in the neighborhood of a blunt body subjected to a heterogeneous flow is investigated experimentally and theoretically. A laser Doppler anemometer is used to measure the velocity of the dispersed phase. The particle dynamics are measured within the Lagrangian (trajectory) approach.
