This research was carried out in order to examine the motivation of the students of the faculty of sports sciences for participation in physical activity in terms of various variables. In this context, the general survey model, which is consistent with the main purpose of the study was used in this quantitative study. The sample of the study consists of a total of 479 students, of which 214 are female and 265 are male. In the creation of the sample, it was benefited from convenience sampling method which is one of the non-probabilistic sampling approaches. Questionnaire form was used as data collection tool and this form consists of two parts. In the first part of the questionnaire, there is the “Personal Information Form,” and in the second part, there is the “Motivation Scale for Participation in Physical Activity.” The illustrative statistics of the raw data obtained through this form were firstly calculated by considering the data type. Then, the reliability of the scale dimensions related to the obtained data was investigated and the difference and correlation tests were used in statistical evaluations. Accordingly, significant differences were found in the variables of gender, mother education level and active sports status. However, there was no significant difference found in the scale dimensions within the scope of the father’s education level, the place of residence with the family, the licensed sportsman status and the national sportsman status. In addition to this, it was observed that there were negative and low-level significant correlations between the age variable and individual causes and the motivation for participation in physical activity (total) dimensions. On the other hand, no significant correlation was found between personal income level and family income level variables and scale dimensions. As a result, the motivation of the students of the faculty of sports sciences for participation in physical activity within the scope of various variables is described as it exists.

Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of some parameters affecting the sleep quality of sports-trained students. Methods: For this purpose, the Pittsburgh sleep quality scale was applied to sports-trained students. The data of 243 male and 222 female students who completed the scale truthfully were evaluated. Student t-test, one-way ANOVA, and LSD tests were used in statistical procedures. Results: A statistically significant difference was found in the subcomponents and total sleep scores of subjective sleep quality, habitual sleep efficiency, sleep latency, sleep duration, sleep disturbance, medication use, and daytime dysfunction by gender (p<0.05 and p<0.001). There was no statistically significant difference in subjective sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep duration, sleep disturbance, daytime dysfunction, and total sleep scores with regard to team and individual sports (p>0.05). There was a statistically significant difference in subjective sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep duration, medication use, daytime dysfunction, and total sleep score with regard to daily training time (p<0.05 and p<0.001). The difference is not significant in the subcomponents of habitual sleep efficiency and sleep disturbance (p>0.05). Conclusion: It was concluded that while gender has an effect on the sleep quality of sports-trained students, playing team and individual sports have not. In addition, it has been observed that more than 3 hours of daily training time has a negative effect on sleep quality. It is recommended that sports-trained students who train intensively should be supported in terms of sleep quality, especially female students. Keywords: Sleep quality, Student, Athlete, Training

Background: The management style and understanding in sports businesses have a significant effect on the employees' sense of trust in the organization and their intention to leave. The aim of this research is to determine the mediating role of mushroom management in the effect of organizational trust on turnover intention. Aim: The purpose of this research is to determine the role of mushroom management as an mediating in the effect of organizational trust on the intention of leaving. Method: The research data were obtained by applying face-to-face survey method to sports business employees voluntarily during the pandemic period. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS 23.0, Amos and IBM SPSS Process Macro package programs. Results: According to the results of the research, it was determined that organizational trust has a negative and meaningful effect on the intention to leave the job, while it has a negative and meaningful effect on mushroom management. In addition, it has been determined that mushroom management has an mediation role in the relationship between organizational trust and the intention to leave the business. Conclusion: The perception of mushroom management, which is new in the literature, is important in order to examine and understand the subject holistically, in different samples and cultures, in institutions, as well as with different theories such as personality traits and leadership types.
