Abstract:Plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1); gene polymorphism is the main inhibitor of fibrinolysis, and high levels may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. The polymorphism of the 4G/5G gene is located in the PAI-1 gene promoter region.
