Investigation of moisture exchange in the subgrade soils of highways in the cryolithic zone

Abstract: This paper presents the results of a study of the influence of the degree of compaction, humidity and temperature on the coefficient of moisture conductivity of thawed and frozen soils. To predict the calculated moisture content of soils in the working layer of the subgrade on sections of roads with a close occurrence of soil water level, a method developed by Professor I.A. Zolotar. Conclusions are drawn about moisture migration in thawed and frozen soils.
