Investigation of Host-Guest Inclusion Complexes of Cyclodextrin Molecules with a Biologically Potent Molecule by Physicochemical Approach
Abstract:The host-guest interaction of L-Cystine as a guest with α and β cyclodextrins as hosts have been investigated. FTIR study bear witness to the formation of inclusion complexes. The host-guest interaction has been explained on the basis of supramolecular interactions and special structure of cyclodextrin. SEM studies show the change in morphology and SEM-EDS indicate the change in the elemental composition upon inclusion complexation.
