Li et al 16 discussed the evaporating sprays in medium speed marine engine via a constant volume combustion chamber with quartz windows of 150 mm in diameter, the results showed that the penetration is proportional to t 2/3 at lower ambient gas density (7.6 and 15.2 kg/m 3 ) and t 1/2 at high density (22.5 kg/m 3 ) conditions.
