Abstract: Background: Bipolar disorder (BD) is a recurrent chronic psychiatric disorder. Evidence indicates that many individuals with BD exhibit high serum levels of inflammation and oxidative stress markers, which are further associated with mood symptoms and cognitive dysfunction.
