Investigation of a shape memory alloy releasable mechanism applied in space environment

Abstract: Though the conventional pyrotechnic fastener mechanisms are widely used in spacecraft for their reliable releasable-fastening function, they still have several unavoidable problems: physical shock, high maintenance cost, to name a few.
