Investigating the Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity of Concrete Containing Waste Marble Dust and Its Estimation Using Artificial Intelligence

Abstract: Researchers and engineers are presently focusing on efficient waste material utilization in the construction sector to reduce waste. Waste marble dust has been added to concrete to minimize pollution and landfills problems. Therefore, marble dust was utilized in concrete, and its prediction was made via an artificial intelligence approach to give an easier way to scholars for sustainable construction. Various blends of concrete having 40 mixes were made as partial substitutes for waste marble dust. The ultraso… Show more

“…This may have the reasons: Due to enhance in packing density of concrete the density of hardened concrete is more than controlled concrete, which resulted in reduction of pulse velocity. Similar kind of results were also observed by Gupta et al [47], yang et al [57]. while the lowest UPV value was 3699 m/s for concrete mix.…”

“…The weighted sum is then passed through an activation function, which determines the output of the neuron. The activation function introduces non-linearity into the model and allows neural networks to learn complex patterns and relationships (Saraswathi and Tamilarasi, 2012;Yang, 2022).…”

“…This experience is useful for Kazakhstan in terms of using innovative solutions in the field of processing and recycling of ash and slag waste in domestic practice [28], [29]. The problem of slag utilization in construction remains a pressing challenge, since almost all research is limited to experimental development [30]- [32] All this makes it imperative to conduct targeted integrated research, both of the slag itself and of materials based on it. Therefore, today waste management has become particularly relevant as one of the key directions of a "green" economy development in Kazakhstan, that is, the preservation and effective management of ecosystems [33].…”
