Abstract:An investigation was made of the rheological characteristics of composites consisting of a polysulphide oligomer and a polymerising compound, cured by redox systems. It was established that the polysulphide oligomer with polymerising compounds acts by the terminal mercapto groups and by the disulphide bonds of the liquid thiokol, with the formation of crosslinked polymers. It was shown that, during the curing of coatings in the presence of the polysulphide oligomer, shrinkage processes and spontaneous heating … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
