Investigating the Soft Processes within the QCD Color Dipole Picture

Abstract: We consider the QCD parton saturation models to describe the soft interactions at the high-energy limit. The total and elastic cross-sections, as well as the elastic slope parameter, are obtained for proton-proton and pion-proton collisions and compared to recent experimental results.

“…We have shown that the main theoretical uncertainty associated to the calculations is the effective gluon mass. We have extended the present analysis in Machado (), including model based on dipole–dipole interaction and more observables like elastic cross section and the diffractive slope. It can be possible to apply the formalism for proton‐air collisions introducing the nuclear dependence into the nuclear saturation scale.…”
