Abstract:Abstract. Total fission cross sections and charge distributions of the final fission fragments have been measured at GSI in inverse kinematics for the reactions 208 Pb + p,d at 500 A MeV and 182 Ta + p at 300, 500, 700 and 1000 A MeV. These data are used to investigate dissipative and transient effects at low deformation and its possible dependences with temperature and fissility.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
