Investigating the Behavior of Offshore Platform to Ship Impact

Abstract: Offshore platform structure has the ability to resist wave loading, wind loading, operation loading, and ship collision, therefore, it is important to investigate the structural behavior of platform taking into consideration soil-structure-pile interaction when the platform is subjected to ship impact at a different location on deck slab. The present study deals with platform supported by pile foundation. The effect of soil-pile interaction on behavior of platform to lateral impact load is investigated by usin… Show more

“…Expanded perlite is broadly used in the construction, industrial, chemical, horticultural, and petrochemical industries [1]. Perlite is mainly available in its expanded form and possesses outstanding thermal insulation and fire-resisting properties [2]. Different materials are combined with perlite to improve the properties of the resulting composites.…”

“…The investigation comprises the impact of torsion on the pile rotation, pile displacement, pile shear force, pile bending moment and pile shear stress. Qasim and Hasan (2020) investigated the response of offshore piles foundation under various loading conditions considering the influence of soil interaction with piles foundation. While Hasan et.…”
