Abstract:In this study, mechanical properties and energy absorption of elastomeric nanocomposites reinforced with cellulose nanofibers are investigated from tensile, Quasi-static Compression (QSC), and Split-Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB) tests. For this purpose, the design and preparation of rubber nanocomposites with different loadings of cellulose nanofibers (CNFs) were carried out, and the optimal cure temperature (T90) of the rubber compound containing cellulose nanofibers was determined from the rheometer test.
