“…Porosity was observed in the coating, which allows the molten salt to penetrate and leads to corrosion. Coating flaws and the impurities on the surface lead to the formation of pitting corrosion. , Sreenivas Rao et al reported a similar observation for plasma-sprayed Cr 2 O 3 –Al 2 O 3 –ZrO 2 multilayer coatings on mild steel. However, depositing dense FA coatings can further improve the corrosion resistance.…”

“…Among all the parameters that could be optimized for a tool ascertaining good weld strength, the geometry of the tool plays a crucial role in affecting the amount of heat generation, material flow, torque, axial force as well as the integrity of the weld. A conventional tool used in FSSW is derived from FSW, comprising a fixed pin and shoulder (Bajakke et al , 2020; Malik et al , 2020). This tool is more suitable for butt joint configuration, causing the material to move from one workpiece to another along the horizontal plane of welding, whereas FSSW is applied for lap joints, wherein the same FSW tool causes excessive thinning of the upper sheet.…”

“…In addition, the grain evolution modes include sub-grain boundaries→sub-grain boundaries, and high angle grain boundaries→high angle grain boundaries. The sub-grain boundaries result in elongated grains, mixed-mode boundaries account for equiaxed grains and oriented grains are the outcome of high angle grain boundaries [35][36][37][38]. Dinaharan et al [22].…”
