Abstract: Vacuolar-type H + -ATPase (v-ATPase), a multi-subunit protein complex, has two distinct functions on lysosomes: acidifying the lysosomal lumen and controlling mTOR-S6K (mTORC1) signaling, both of which are crucial for several biological processes.
