Abstract: The high number of bipolar and widespread bryophyte and microbial taxa in the Antarctic flora suggests the effective Long‐Distance Dispersal (LDD) of spores and other propagules from lower latitudes and even the Northern Hemisphere to Antarctica and the sub‐Antarctic regions.
