The development of a green economy has become a global consensus. More and more manufacturers are greening their production to build green supply chains. At the same time, retailers are employing green marketing efforts for green products. In addition, members who are followers of the green supply chain are prone to fairness-concern behavior. To investigate the impact of fairness concerns on green supply chain decisions, this study develops a two-tier green supply chain in which the manufacturer makes green input and the retailer makes green marketing effort input. The retailer in the follower position of the supply chain has fairness concerns. Stackelberg game models are constructed and compared in three scenarios: one without fairness concerns, one where the manufacturer considers the retailer’s fairness concerns, and one where the manufacturer does not consider the retailer’s fairness concerns. After the manufacturer decides whether to consider the retailer’s fairness concerns, a two-part tariff contract is used to coordinate the green supply chain based on optimal decision-making and profit under a centralized decision-making condition. The study found that: (1) when the manufacturer considers the retailer’s fairness concerns, fairness concerns will negatively impact greenness, green marketing efforts, wholesale price, and retail price. When the manufacturer does not consider the retailer’s fairness concerns, fairness concerns will not impact greenness or wholesale price, but will negatively impact green marketing efforts; (2) the retailer’s fairness concerns have a negative impact on the green supply chain’s profit, and from the supply chain perspective, the retailer should abandon its fairness concerns; (3) it will be more beneficial if the manufacturer can consider the retailer’s fairness concerns; (4) when the manufacturer does not consider the retailer’s fairness concerns, the retailer can make fairness concerns according to the parameter conditions; (5) when a fixed fee meets a certain range, the two-part tariff contract can coordinate the green supply chain when the retailer has fairness concerns. The results will help manufacturers and retailers better understand fairness concerns and provide them with decision-making guidance and coordinated choices.

This research introduces a decentralized supply chain optimization model that incorporates blockchain technology. The model, implemented through an optimized iterative method, integrates ordering, holding, and purchasing costs to offer a comprehensive view of total costs for both retailers and suppliers. The model's uniqueness and optimality are demonstrated through theoretical analysis, highlighting the optimal ordering interval as the sole solution to the derived equation. Employing an algorithmic methodology, optimal replenishment schedules are efficiently calculated using Wolfram Mathematica 13.0. A numerical example and sensitivity analysis illustrate the impact of key parameters on replenishment cycles, order quantity, and costs, encompassing wholesale prices, demand uncertainty, and holding/ordering costs. Managerial insights derived from sensitivity analysis guide decision-makers in optimizing supply chain management, emphasizing strategies such as wholesaler price balance and strategic blockchain information management. In essence, this research contributes to an enhanced understanding of decentralized supply chain models with blockchain, providing a systematic decisionmaking optimization approach for increased efficiency and resilience.

<p style='text-indent:20px;'>In this research work, we have developed an imperfect production inventory model under the screening process in the manufacturing system to meet the demand of quality items for the customer. Here, the novelty lies in the screening rate depending on the number of cycles and the learning effect of the workers. The motivation behind such consideration is to increase the screening rate in each subsequent cycle on account of the learning of the workers. The virtue of government policy is to keep the environment free from pollution, nowadays the production of green products is very essential although this can lead to higher production costs for the manufacturer. As a result, customers also have to pay higher purchasing costs. So, to motivate the customers extensively to buy a green product, awareness about such product is very essential. In this regard, the manufacturer adopts an innovative advertising policy, which is another novelty of this research work. Ultimately, the demand function depends on the green degree, advertisement frequency and the retailer's selling price. It is also noted that in the present competitive business market the manufacturer offers an incentive to their retailers to carry on their business smoothly. In this regard, a credit period policy of logistic nature has been taken. Finally, an integrated profit function has been developed and its feasibility has been justified taking a numerical example. The result indicates that not only an appropriate advertisement frequency but also a suitable level of the green degree of the product is more important for maintaining the integrated profit of the system and individual profit of the retailer and the manufacturer also. We have analyzed the impacts of the retailer's advertisement frequency on the optimal credit period and the retailer's profit. We have also analyzed how the learning rate of the workers affects the screening cost and the manufacturer's profit.</p>
