Abstract:Se realizó investigación antropométrica de población infantil de 5 a 14 años de la etnia indígena Salasaca, pueblo de nacionalidad kichua que habita la provincia de Tungurahua. Se determinó en muestra de 546 niños (265 masculinos y 281 femeninos), equivalente 45,9% del total población infantil de dicha edad, el peso, talla, índice masa corporal (IMC), circunferencia braquial y abdominal, y composición de grasa corporal.
