Abstract: Background Invasive non-typhoidal Salmonella (iNTS) disease continues to be a significant public health problem in sub-Saharan Africa. Common clinical misdiagnosis, frequent antimicrobial resistance, high case fatality, and lack of a vaccine make iNTS a priority for global health research.
