Abstract:This chapter briefly introduces the evolution of health aid, its forms, and its objectives. In consonance with the prevailing emphasis on combatting diseases in health aid, also known as the “vertical” approach, it focuses on assistance targeting tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS.
