Abstract. While cloud computing has become an increasingly hot topic in the industry, risks associated with the adoption of cloud services have also received growing attention from researchers and practitioners. This paper reports the results of a study that aimed to identify and explore potential risks that organisations may encounter when adopting cloud computing, as well as to assess and prioritise the identified risks. The study adopted a deductive research method based on a cross-sectional questionnaire survey. The questionnaire was distributed to a group of 295 carefully selected and highly experienced IT professionals, of which 39 (13.2%) responses were collected and analysed. The research findings identified a set of 39 cloud computing risks, which concentrated around diverse operational, organisational, technical, and legal areas. It was identified that the most critical risks were caused by current legal and technical complexity and deficiencies associated with cloud computing, as well as by a lack of preparation and planning of user companies.

Abstract. Cloud computing is at "the peak of inflated expectations" on the Gartner Hype Cycle from 2010. Service models constitute a layer in the cloud computing model and Software as a Service (SaaS) is one of the important service models. Software as a Service provides complete business applications delivered over the web and more specific when delivering enterprise systems (ES) applications such as ERP, CRM and others we can further categorize the model as an Enterprise Systems as a Service (ESaaS) model. However it is said that ESaaS is one of the last frontier for cloud computing due to security risk, downtime and other factors. The hype about cloud computing and ESaaS made us speculate about our local context, Denmark, what are the current situation and how might ESaaS develop. We are asking the question: Will ESaaS become an organizing vision in Denmark? We used empirical data from a database with more than 1150 Danish organizations using ES, informal contacts to vendors etc. The result of our study is very surprising as none of the organizations in the database apply ESaaS although recent information from vendors indicates more than 50 ESaaS implementations in Denmark. We discuss the distance between the community discourse and current status of real ESaaS implementations.

Abstract-Cloud computing is a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources Cloud computing is significant because it encapsulates a range of different technologies that have developed through the history of commercial computing. The model analyzed is known as Service Measurement Index (SMI) Model, which is a set of business-relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) that provide a standardized method for measuring and comparing a business service regardless of whether that service is internally provided or sourced from an outside company. The SMI model analyzed is only applicable to the quantifiable attributes, thus in this research, we have concentrated on the Non-quantifiable attributes (KPIs) which, once incorporated, would not only enrich the customer experience but also provide more accurate customer results together with improved customer satisfaction.
