“…Some journals now report their gender distribution figures on an annual basis as part of their overall performance indicators (ibid). This article evaluates this trend and looks at the performance of European political science journals and the conclusions from a recent European Political Science (2022) symposium on 'The gendered distribution of authors and reviewers in major European political science journals' (Stockemer, 2022). It argues that making data available is the first and necessary step in the endeavour to combat unequal representation in academic publishing.…”
