One of significant change in learning process is exam implementation applying a computer-based test (e-exam) rather than paper-based test. Many institutions currently use wireless network with bring your own device (BYOD) policy for their e-exam implementation, due to limitation of space and user terminals. Moreover it is hard to maintain the availability of reliable signal quality in wireless network for all users during e-exam process. Therefore, this research proposes a development of time adaptive for mobile exam (TAMEx) framework to provide all users with good quality of service of e-exam in wireless network environment when dealing with signal quality variations. The received signal strength indication (RSSI) is the main indicator of the signal quality. The framework supports e-exam implementation in wireless local area network and the use of BYOD mechanism. The research shows that the framework successfully has provided time compensation for the users who experienced temporary connection loss due to bad signal quality. The result exhibits that tiny processing time has been needed for signal loss detection, user's request of compensation time, and server's execution. In conclusion, the TAMEx could guarantee good services for all users who doing e-exam in wireless network environment.

The internet has provided tremendous impact in educational development throughout the world. E-Exam system is one of educational component which has been used increasing dramatically for evaluating educational process. As an e-exam feature, uniformity of system access and time duration of the exam to all examinees is very important to be considered. Exam manager usually utilizes a fixed network to connect all e-exam terminal in order to maintain service stability on e-exam systems. However, the use of a fixed network will be difficult to be implemented if the number of examines is large. There are not many Education institutions have adequate ICT infrastructure or e-exam terminals for all students. Most institutions develop WLAN networks as an alternative to being able to provide ICT services to all students. With the development of mobile device technology (Handphone or Laptop) that strongly supports the learning process through mobile devices. This research aims to develop application of the Time Adaptive for Mobile E-Exam (TAMEx) Model. It serves to maintain the reliability of e-exam implementation on WLAN networks. The possible connection disruptions is anticipate by seeking time compensation only to participants who has experienced the connection problem. The time compensation must be accordance to the duration of the occurrence of connection loss. Application development has been carried out and is functioning properly. The report of application shows that it has succeeded in identifying the connection disturbance duration and provide time compensation to the proper examinee.

E-learning in higher education is exponentially increased during the past decade due to its inevitable benefits in critical situations like natural disasters, wars, and pandemic like COVID 2019. The reliable, fair, and seamless execution of online exams in E-learning is highly significant. Particularly, online exams are conducted on E-learning platforms without the physical presence of students and instructors at the same place. This poses several issues like integrity and security during online exams. To address such issues, researchers frequently proposed different techniques and tools. However, a study summarizing and analyzing latest developments, particularly in the area of online examination, is hard to find in the literature. In this article, a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of online examination is performed to select and analyze 53 studies published during the last five years (i.e. Jan 2016 to July 2020). Subsequently, five leading online exams features targeted in the selected studies are identified. Moreover, underlying development approaches for the implementation of online exams solutions are explored. Furthermore, 16 important techniques / algorithms and 11 datasets are presented. In addition to this, 21 online exams tools proposed in the selected studies are identified. Additionally, 25 leading existing tools used in the selected studies are also presented. Finally, the par-
