Introducing Graduate Students in Biomedical Sciences to an Institutional Animal Research Program

Abstract: At the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, graduate students enrolled in biomedical science programs comprise a significant portion of personnel working with research animals. Although the University requires that all personnel receive appropriate training before working with animals, veterinarians and research mentors agreed students would benefit from additional training.
