Intrapleural Streptokinase in Complicated Parapneumonic Effusions and Empyema

Abstract: Background: Catheter drainage and antibiotics were the standard therapy for parapneumonic effusions and/or empyema. Streptokinase may aid tube drainage if it failed due to fibrinous adhesions.
