DESPITE its rarity, the carotico-cavernous fistula has received frequent mention in the literature. Its unique qualities, the ease of making the diagnosis when one is aware of the syndrome, and the satisfaction derived from doing so, as well as the not infrequent gratifying results of treatment, perhaps explain this publicity.
