Abstract: Purpose: Stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) is the predominant method for the irradiation of resection cavities after resection of brain metastases (BM). Intraoperative radiotherapy (IORT) with 50kV x-rays is an alternative way to irradiate the resection cavity focally.
