Abstract

BACKGROUNDTonsillectomy is a common surgical procedure done in children. Adequate intraoperative and post-operative analgesia is required for a smooth postoperative recovery in these children. Among the various modalities, opioids are still used for this due to their effective analgesic property, despite their undesirable side effects.
