“…13 Navarrete Argüello et al reported that the effect of an ICL on IOP fluctuations, has been studied, which was found to be not statistically significant. 26 As in previous publications, the procedure was safe and reproducible, adding the fact that the level of training of the surgeon is not a determining factor in these findings. In our study, we did not encounter any IOP increase, neither pigment dispersion.…”

“…Pupillary block occurs mostly after implantation of ICL without central hole. At present, the central hole ICL can reduce the incidence of pupillary block, eliminates the need for laser peripheral iridectomy preoperatively and obtains satisfactory IOP after surgery [146][147][148][149][150][151]. In particular, Gonzalez-Lopez [152], Mansoori T [153], Isha G [154] and Frost A et al [155] had all reported pupillary block glaucoma secondary to central hole obstruction after ICL implantation, which may be related to viscoelastic residue, iris pigmentation, increase in inflammatory factors in aqueous humor and so on.…”

“…Prior studies have reported transit IOP fluctuations after ICL V4c implantation, 8 which may be attributed to the residue of the viscoelastic agent. It is crucial to detect postoperative transient high IOP over time.…”

“…Previous studies have reported stable IOP measurements within the safe range after ICL V4c implantation at postoperative follow ups of 1 week and, 1, 3, and 6 months or longer. 7,8 It is crucial to detect patients with transient high IOP over time. NCTs have been conventionally used for IOP measurement with good credibility.…”
