“…It can also receive direct branches from the coeliac axis or splenic artery. Pulmonary sequestration with an aneurysmal systemic artery is extremely rare 15 . Studies found PS occurring in RML receiving blood supply from an aberrant artery in the fissure or left coronary artery, or multiple feeding arteries from the internal mammary artery or the diaphragmatic artery, and also from the renal artery.…”

“…To our knowledge, this is the first report of a child with double ELS with anomalous arterial supply in the left thoracic cavity. Before this reported patient, the cases of rare PS mainly included the following types: variation of the source of arterial supply (7,8), variation of venous drainage (9), variation of anatomical position (10), bilateral PS (11), and PS connecting with the digestive tract (12). A significant number of these patients were incidentally confirmed to have mutations during surgery.…”

“…However, multiplanar CT and 3-dimensional reconstruction have been increasingly replacing this diagnostic method due to their lower invasiveness, better spatial resolution in depicting the vessel anatomy of the sequestrated lung tissue [ 3 , 4 ], and reduced risk of unexpected bleeding in operation. Although the employment of coil embolization as a promising technique has been reported, some authors, such as Kohei Ando [ 5 ], consider it just a solution to deal with the patient of “anomalous systemic arterial supply to the normal lung”.…”
