“…Computed tomography, magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography, and endoscopic retrograde pancreatography performed in IOPN‐P may reveal a cystic mass or cystic dilatation of pancreatic duct or solid mass within pancreatic parenchyma [2, 30, 32, 36, 37]. Sometimes mural nodules within a cyst may be visualized [36].…”

“…In some cases of IOPN‐P, the mucus or the neoplasm itself extends from the orifice of the papilla to the duodenal lumen [30, 32]. Presence of mucin within the bile duct may be documented during endoscopic retrograde cholangiography in patients with IOPN‐B [18].…”

“…Intraductal oncocytic papillary neoplasms (IOPNs) are relatively large (mean of 6.0 cm) 1 4 39. Grossly, they demonstrate marked cystic dilatation of the ducts, which contain soft red-brown nodular luminal masses.…”

“…Of the total 14 patients reported in the literature, recurrence was noted in 1, metastases developed in 1, 3 died postoperatively, 1 died of other causes, and 8 were alive with no evidence of disease (Table 1). [9][10][11] However, there are insufficient data in the literature to determine the clinical course of intraductal oncocytic papillary neoplasm, although the biological behavior of this tumor seems to be better than that of ductal carcinoma. We recently described the clinicodiagnostic features of malignant and benign intraductal papillary tumors of the pancreas to assist us in the selection of appropriate treatment.…”
