A program of immunization should be mandatory at all domiciliaries. This would concern chiefly elderly people. The program should include immunization against diphtheria, influenza, poliomyelitis, smallpox and tetanus. Immunization against typhoid or typhoid‐paratyphoid fevers and rabies should be left to the discretion of the individual station. A suggested schedule is presented. Although the intradermal route for immunization is highly recommended, the method used should be that which the staff finds most satisfactory.Immunization is not without danger. The label on the vial of immunizing agent always should be read carefully and the instructions followed. Means for combating local or anaphylactic reactions should always be readily available.
