Abstract:Calcified intracardiac thrombi were identified in a 23-year-old man who had received home parenteral nutrition (HPN) for 4 years on account of Crohn's disease.

Even in an experienced IF center of excellence, the incidence of CRCs increased over the 4 decades. This increase could be explained by the expansion of the indication of HPN to a more elderly and frail patient population.
