Intestinal Microbiota Contribute to the Endogenous Formation of Thiouracil in Livestock

Abstract: In recent years, the frequent detection of the banned substance thiouracil (TU) in livestock urine has been related to its endogenous formation following consumption of glucosinolate-rich Brassicaceae crops.
