In this study, the influence of new multi-strain synbiotics on chicken growth performance, hematology, serum biochemistry and immunity was explored. Each synbiotic preparation (A, B and C) comprised three, four or five strains of Lactobacillus sp., respectively, as well as S. cerevisiae and inulin. All strains used in the synbiotics originated from wild-type strains from animal farms in Poland. Six groups of chickens, ROSS 308 line, were fed with three different synbiotics at a dose of 0.5 g/1 kg of feed. Body weight, as well as the biochemical and hematological parameters of the animals in each study group, were determined on the 7th, 14th, 28th and 42nd day of life. Body weight on day 42 differed between groups and was the highest in control group. This group also had the highestfeed conversion ratio (FCR) value. All measured biochemical parameters were in the normal ranges for poultry; however, we observed a lower alkaline phosphatase (AP) concentration on day 7 in the groups fed with synbiotics, which correlated with a lower level of triglycerides in those groups. The aspartate transaminase (AST) concentration was significantly lower in all groups on day 42 in comparison with the control. On day 7, the control group showed the highest concentration of Ca, K and P. Other parameters did not differ significantly throughout the experiment. All groups showed a similar tendency of increase in the red blood cells (RBC) count according to the age of the birds. Every white blood cells (WBC) population showed differences in the proportions between T and B lymphocytes. The T cell and monocyte counts increased until day 28 in all groups. The results showed that our newly developed synbiotic formulas do not have any unfavorable influence on chicken health and may modulate immune response and biochemical parameters. However, this hypothesis needs to be evaluated in future experiments.

The composition of the bacterial community affects the intestinal health and growth performance of broiler chickens. The main purpose of this study was to explore the effects of flavomycin and colistin sulfate on the resistance to Salmonella typhimurium infection, ileal bacteria and intestinal health. In total, 396 1-day-old broiler chickens were randomly divided into six groups. Two groups were fed each one of the diets—the control diet (CON), the flavomycin at 10 mg/kg diet (AntiG+), and the colistin sulfate at 40 mg/kg diet (AntiG−), for 5 days. Then, one of each of the two groups was challenged with S. typhimurium on the 8th day; these were named CONS, AntiG+S and AntiG−S, respectively. The results showed that S. typhimurium significantly reduced the feed intake and body weight gain, and increased the feed conversion ratio (p < 0.05). It also increased the inflammatory expressions of NF-κB and MyD88 genes (p < 0.05); and reduced the expressions of claudin-1, occludin and mucin-2 (p < 0.05) tight junction genes in the intestines. S. typhimurium significantly reduced ileal bacterial diversity indexes of observed-species, chao1 and Shannon (p < 0.05). Compared with AntiG+S group, AntiG−S group increased the body weight gain of broiler chickens (p < 0.05), reduced the expression of inflammatory genes (p < 0.05) and intestinal permeability to fluorescein isothiocyanate (p < 0.05). AntiG-S group also improved the ileal bacterial diversity indexes of observed-species and Shannon (p < 0.05). There were many significant correlations between intestinal bacteria, intestinal gene expressions and intestinal morphology (p < 0.05). This study indicated that pre-constructed AntiG− bacteria could against a S. typhimurium infection by inhibiting the expressions of intestinal inflammation genes and increasing the diversity of intestinal bacteria.

Известно, что пробиотические и пребиотические препараты улучшают функционирование кишечника и нормализуют процессы переваривания корма у животных. Колонизация желудочно-кишечного тракта полезной микрофлорой способствует снижению отрицательного влияния патогенных или условно-патогенных микроорганизмов, поддержанию оптимальной кислотности среды, профилактике дисбиоза, стимуляции факторов местного и общего иммунитета. Однако биологические механизмы реализации подобных свойств этих препаратов все еще окончательно не выяснены. Мы оценили воздействие двух российских препаратов-многофункциональной кормовой добавки комплексного действия Профорт ® (ООО «Биотроф», Россия), сочетающей качества фермента и пробиотика, и пребиотика Ветелакт («НВЦ Агроветзащита», Россия) на количественный и качественный состав микробиоты кишечника у яичных кур, впервые сопоставив их эффекты с экспрессией генов -дефензина 9 (AvBD9), интерлейкина 8 (IL8), галлинацина-10 (Gal-10) и проэнкефалина (PENK), которые связаны с защитными системами организма. В опытах использовали три группы кур (по 20 гол.) кросса Ломанн белый ЛСЛ (Lohmann LSL) с интенсивностью яйцекладки в возрасте 25 нед не менее 95 % (условия вивария, 2019 год). Кормление птицы осуществляли комбикормом, составленным с учетом требований паспорта на кросс. Введение в рацион опытных групп указанных биологически активных добавок проводили ежедневно в течение 28 сут. Ежесуточно учитывали яйценоскость, еженедельно рассчитывали интенсивность яйцекладки, определяли массу яиц и живую массу птицы. После окончания опыта при помощи NGS секвенирования был определен состав микробиоты слепых отростков кишечника и проведена оценка экспрессии генов -дефензина 9 (AvBD9), интерлейкина 8 (IL8), галлинацина-10 (Gal-10) и проэнкефалина (PENK). Известно, что -дефензин 9 и галлинацин-10 относятся к семейству эндогенных пептидов, которые представляют собой важный элемент системы врожденного иммунитета и связующее звено между врожденным (неспецифическим) и приобретенным (адаптивным, специфическим) иммунитетом, проэнкефалин-один из шести опиоидных пептидов, которые регулируют передачу сигналов между клетками и влияют на многие биологические процессы у позвоночных, включая развитие, рост и размножение, а интерлейкин 8-один из основных провоспалительных хемокинов, образуемый макрофагами, эпителиальными и эндотелиальными клетками, который также играет важную роль в системе врожденного иммунитета. Экспериментально установлено, что наибольшие показатели яичной продуктивности (на 3,33 % выше контроля, р < 0,05) имели несушки, получавшие пробиотик, при том что их финальная живая масса была минимальной. Скармливание пребиотика приводило к снижению яйценоскости на 0,24-0,45 % (р > 0,05), при этом живая масса кур превышала контроль на 0,9 % (р > 0,05).
