Intervertebral disc degeneration induced by lumbar instability followed by a maintained standing posture: An in vivo rabbit model

Abstract: Background: Intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) is a major clinical cause of low back pain. The ideal animal model should induce a degenerative process and morphological properties similar to those that occur in human IVDD.
