Intervention Proposal in Outbreakes Foodborne Diseases in Oil Platforms

Abstract

This paper aims to assist in the investigation of outbreaks of Foodborne Diseases (DTAs). Currently, cases of gastroenteritis occasionally occur on the platforms in Campos' Basin. This is a worrying fact, because this type of outbreak affects many people and may worsen depending on the type and amount of contaminated food consumed. In order to trace the causes of occurrence of these cases we have created a Standard Guideline (PE) with the procedures to be performed in cases of oil platforms gastroenteritis outbreaks. It is fundamental to the success of research that actions are taken quickly, as soon as they are checked the first symptoms.
