Sita has been embedded with a social stigma that has failed to expose the real nature, calibre, talent for Indian society. The most powerful woman in world history has been denied due to her identity and real value. This research is a search for the real calibre of Sita and her skills, talents and administrative potential which could be a significant role model for modern women to learn from her. Sita’s versatile talents become a learning skill for today women in Indian society. Learnings skills get from Sita makes Indian women lead their life for betterment and helps to draw their life how they want them. The courage of Sita identifies the real women in the modern world in various situations. This research dealt with modern women to correlate the ideas of Sita from ancient days. The skills of Sita express the thoughts and emotions to the women to know who they are and also degrade the serf thoughts in the minds of women today. This research integrates the women of modernity with the vision of Sita. This paper provides new fresh thoughts of Sita in newer perspectives which could provide new spaces for Indian women and their identities.

South Asian novelist Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni is one of the most famous diasporic writers. She is also a great short-story writer, poet, and essayist. Her books have been translated into 29 languages including Hebrew, Dutch and Japanese. Her themes are relevant to South Asian Diasporic experience, History, Myth, Magic Realism and Cultural Diversity, Women Immigrants etc. Her works largely set in India and United States. There may be a galaxy of women writers. Most of her works give the insight and lively experience to the readers. Her poetic language in the text is far more appreciable. The reader may fall in love with the way of her expression and her beautiful poetic way of writing. She explores all her immigrant experiences through her writing. She gives life to her stories and fiction in such an excellent manner. She expresses her own pain and suffering especially through her women characters. Many autobiographical incidents are employed by her. So that she is distinguished from all other immigrant writers. Most of her works deal with the images of Bengali customs and habits. This paper is an attempt to deal with the psychoanalytic perspectives of the characters in Mistress of Spices and the predominant role of culture which focuses traumatic and sufferings of immigrants.

The term 'Cultural Psychology' refers to the idea that culture and mind are inseparable. Cultural Psychology has its root from the 1960s and 1970s. But it has attained its zenith and popularity during the 1980s and 1990s. Some of the prominent cultural psychologists are Harry C. Triandis, Fiske, Hofstede, Susan T. Fiske, Eva Magnusson, Jeanne Marecek, Hazel Rose Markus, Shinobu Kittayama, Richard Shweder etc. The present study aims to portray the issues of gender bias and male domination through the cultural conflict which affects the characters physically and psychologically in Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni’s Arranged Marriage. The Introduction deals with the overall view of the stories and themes. The Literature review focuses on the studies relevant to cultural psychology. The Methodology section discusses the cultural and gender issues with the theory and approaches of Eva Magnusson and Jeanne Marecek's Gender and Culture in Psychology. The Discussion part gives the results of the study. The study is compared and discussed with the other studies relevant to gender-based and cultural psychology concepts. The conclusion sums up the entire study and its limitation and scope for future researchers.
