“…Anatomic and functional results of an experiment have shown that the sympathetic neurons projecting to forelimb nerves are located in the cervical and stellate ganglia of sympathetic trunk as well . In 1973, Laskey et al found that the majority of the sympathetic preganglionic neurons with axons projecting to the cervical sympathetic trunk receive input from somatic afferents via intraspinal pathways, which indicated that MNS has the potential to reduce the sympathetic outflow through inhibiting the discharges of the sympathetic preganglionic neurons. However, there are no evidence to prove this mechanism directly and no experiment to show whether the sympathetic neurons projecting to the forelimbs are also innervating the heart, but we think that it is worthy to study deeply in the future.…”
